Obannon woods Saturday 8/11
« on: August 08, 2012, 08:47:08 AM »
I'm headed up there early saturday morning, probably start riding at 8 AM.

If interested we can meet at the trailhead, gravel parking on your left after you pass the guard shack.

Or meet in New Albany and ride up together.

If you've not been up to ride the new trail it's must, bring your technical riding skills wit ya.

Rico: Can't make it this weekend, but I'm down for next time you go.

Itching to do the Adventure Hiking Trail as well.

We road that new trail after it first opened.  its def challenging.  a few of those rocks want to squeeze you to the outside of the trail and sometimes off it.  haha.

Yuuup and then you have rear derailluer eaters all along the way ta boot.  with cool temps coming it should be the perfect morning to ride.  If I didn't have two heathens to watch the entire day once I got back I'd go wear myself out at brown county.. 8)

I was at O'Bannon on Saturday, too. It was my first time there. I think it's my new favorite trail. I almost didn't do the new section. I'm glad I did.

The new section is a real treat and for me takes just under an hour to go out and back.

Get some more fluids then do the firetower trail out to the loop, 2 loops then back to the car.

All this is about 2 hours of riding 17+ miles and tons of fun.  I'm truly bored with waverly and cheerokee anymore, need something different.

If I'm not out of town this coming weekend I'm headin back to brown co. Saturday morning.
