Redline/Airborne

I'm going to try a 29er, probably a hardtail until I'm sure I like niners.       It looks like I'm down to either an airborne goblin, or a redline 660d.      Both run 2 x 10 setups; the goblin is x7, and the redline is x9.  (I like sram)   The redline also has a 100mm fork (but the fork on the goblin may be 100mm capable, I dunno).    Both bikes have low budget wheelsets, but riding in Jackson county is really hard on wheels :D.  I'd likely pick up a better set on ebay or craiglist.

Anybody with any experience on these rides?  Which one sounds best?

I wouldnt want people saying i ride a goblin, it just sounds wrong
