I understand what you are saying. However, like any product or service, the price is what the market will bear. Since there are other choices and many that equal or better OCP offerings, they simply don't have a financially viable product at present. If there was a steep discount for a yearly usage fee (that happened to include volunteer hours), they would get a lot of bites and shape up that trail system quite quickly. So far, I have not seen any information to support this.

Volunteers are doing the trail work and will probably maintain the trail. Given this why do mtbers have to pay extra? I have to see that money is going back into trails before I by in. Free access with purchase of fish license is a good idea Joel. I could handle that.

I spend $100 a year on fish and hunting license as well as tags for deer and turkey, which fills my freezer with lots of game meat and fish. I'm all for discounts for those that spend money on other Dept. of fish and wildlife fees.
