If you're close to Bowman Field, e-mail me and come on over, I've got everything needed.

Kind of like red-right-returning for navigational buoys, I use right-regular for the thread direction.  Also, if you're above the bike, turning your wrench forward will tighten either pedal and to the rear will loosen.

I use this for mine, works great.

5.1 is what Endomondo tells me based on my last ride, as close as I can tell that is.  Probably the most accurate way is with a bike computer calibrated for the wheel/tire size.  My computer stays on the road bike.

If you want to borrow my chest mount for awhile, you are welcome to it.  I'm knee deep in house remodeling and haven't been on a bike in over 6 weeks, so it's not getting any use here.

Wearing it with a water pack isn't bad actually unless it's really hot or you have to bundle up for cold.

I like the chest mount also.

Nice vids, I showed the No Net one to my mtb friends on another forum, really gives a good perspective on what the trail is like now.

I agree too - seems there is limited discussion of "real-time" trail conditions or problems or other issues trail riders discussed on the old threads.  But with all the "reviewers" supposedly reading these posts and us not allowed to complain about anything ever, it has just died out.  Maybe its all got to go back to the late 1990's when there was no communications, before it can emerge as something new again.  This post will likely get removed, but fall/winter is coming soon, we can return to the night with lighted rides - until that's banned.

Your post puzzles me.  I believe we've had to moderate one thread since the relaunch last year, that's it.  What are you basing your comments on regarding not being allowed to complain or your post likely being removed?  There is zero history of that that I'm aware of since launch.

Take a look on mtbr in the families forum for the 24" thread.

Our 8 year old has been on a Kona Hula for over a year.  It's a nice bike and the fork actually works for kids that weight.

It's not, and no.

I love how that guy picks up old bikes, probably for free, cleans them and puts some cheap bar-tape on, maybe some tires, and tries to make $200+ on them.

However...you can find some great deals on CL sometimes.  My buddy bought a 2010 Hifi Deluxe 29" full suspension for 1/2 of new, in perfect condition with I think 82 miles on the computer which was installed by the dealer.  Killer deal.

If you have that much pressure on your hands, then you probably need to get the bars up higher/further back.  Stem spacers, riser bars or a new angled stem will do it.

You won't find very many that are one-way in this region.  Just keep your speed and bike under control at all times so you can stop if needed.  If you meet someone that is going uphill and you are descending, they have right of way (because it's harder to start again on an uphill) so stop/move out of the way, and say Hi/Thanks/Sorry/Have a good ride/whatever.a

Cherokee Park here in Louisville is mostly ridden counterclockwise but some ride it both ways and hikers/runners go both directions, so you just have to stay in control in case you come up on someone.  Having a bell  to signal on blind turns helps also.
